Our Annual Exhibition this year - the 35th - was held in conjunction with the Tuesday Morning Ladies Art Group. It was our first Annual exhibition since December 2018. It was a great exhibition and we received many compliments as to the standard of the work and its presentation, and everyone who came seemed to enjoy it. Rather disappointingly, only 73 visitors came throughout the day and the evening was particularly quiet. That was more than last time, however - just! Even so, we still sold 8 paintings (also more than last time!), plus 2 prints. In the end, we made a small profit. We had 98 paintings hanging, plus plenty of unframed paintings and prints in the browsers.
Most of our visitors voted for their favourite painting. The most popular this year was ‘What Have We Done?’, an ink & watercolour painting by John Lewis, who therefore wins the Ted Martin Trophy for this year. Joint runners-up, each with one vote less, were ‘The End Of The Day, Blakeney’ and ‘Llyn Padarn’, both watercolours by Ian Philpot.
A gallery of paintings that were hanging at the exhibition is here.
