Lisvane Art Workshop

About Us

We were formed in 1983. For more details about our history, please follow the ‘History’ link above. The term ‘Workshop’ is part of our title and is intended to indicate that we are not a class as such - we have no regular lectures or teaching, but we each follow our own inclinations as far as medium and subject are concerned. Although there is no formal teaching, several of our members are quite experienced and are willing to give help or guidance if needed. We have no requirements as to standard - all are welcome from beginners upwards. Please contact me (details below) if you are interested in joining us or would like more information.

Meetings are held every Tuesday afternoon from September to June in the small hall of the Memorial Hall, Lisvane, from 2 pm to 4 pm (except for the Christmas Lunch and our summer Outing). You can find details about the Memorial Hall here. For those of you with satnavs, the postcode is CF14 0SQ.

Membership is currently £45 per annum, set at a level simply to cover all our costs. This is subject to review at our next Annual General meeting.

Some of the paintings shown on this website may still be available for sale. However, no prices are normally given as the paintings concerned may not have been hung recently, may have been revised since hanging or may have been sold! For the same reasons, where prices are given, they should be taken as a guide only. As regards the Rolling Exhibition, this is currently hanging and the prices are correct.

If you are interested in

buying any of the paintings (from anywhere on the site),

commissioning any of our artists to paint a favourite or specific subject,

being kept informed by email of any future exhibitions or other events,

coming to join us (we currently have vacancies for a small number of new members),

or need any other information about us,

then please just contact me by email, text or phone one of the numbers below. We should be pleased to hear from you.
