Critique on limited palette paintings by Ian Philpot

Our meeting on the 9th April was the culmination of what has now become a traditional part of our programme. Members have been working on paintings using only two colours from a selection of photo images taken by our chairman, Ian Philpot.

It ends with a critique by Ian on these paintings, going through each one in turn, and finally choosing what he felt was the best interpretation. The winner again this year was Jane Patten, with her painting of Buttermere, seen here receiving her reward of a bottle of wine from Ian. Runner-up was Margaret Mitchell, who receives an Easter Egg, kindly donated by Anne Edwards.
